Documentary about Hideo Kojima arrives on Disney+ this month

Announced in the middle of last year, the documentary “Hideo Kojima: Connecting Worlds” is getting ready to debut on streaming platforms, offering a glimpse behind the scenes of the eccentric gaming geniu’s work and showcasing his creative process in crafting games that stand apart from the conventional.

In the past Friday (9), the reminder comes from the Game Awards Twitter profile. It’s only fitting: not only Geoff Keigh a huge fan (and friend) of the Japanese director, but it was also The Game Awards 2023 that revealed the documentary would be released in the West through Disney.

“Hideo Kojima: Connecting Worlds” is set to be released on February 23, 2024 on Disney+.

Focused mainly on Kojima’s journey and his studio’s work on the production of the first Death Stranding, the documentary not only provides glimpses of the day-to-day game development but also features accounts from a star-studded cast, sharing their experiences of working with the developer on such ambitious projects.
