FILMING FOR SEASON 2 OF THE LAST OF US IS PROGRESSING FANTASTICALLY

Pedro Pascal, one of the central figures in the HBO series The Last of Us, was recently awarded the SAD Award for Male Actor in a Drama Series, marking his first major recognition in the industry after winning the fans vote at the People’s Choice Awards for Male TV Star of the Year.

In an interview with Deadline, he mentioned being surprised by the distincton received during the SAG Awards. Pascal humorously attributed it to being drunk, admitting to having had tequila before the ceremony.

Pascal, who is currently filming the second season of The Last of Us in Vancouver since February 12, shared information about the production’s progress. He said that the recording progress is “going amazing”, praising the dedication of the cast and crew.

Returning to the role of Joel for the second season, Pascal described the experience as “strangely brand new,” emphasizing the uniqueness of the series and opportunity to collaborate with Mazin and Neil Druckmann.

Pascal expressed gratitude for the opportunity to contribute to the series under the guidance of Mazin and Druckmann, placing special emphasis on the learning experience and its impact on his career.

The second season of The Last of Us introduces significant additions to the cast, including Kaitlyn Dever as Abby, Isabela Merced as Dina, and Young Mazino as Jesse, expanding the narrative of the series based on the game The Last of Us: Part II.
