HELLDIVERS 2 REACHES NEW PEAK OF PLAYERS ON STEAM

One of the most unexpected surprises (alongside Palworld) at the beginning of 2024 was undoubtedly Helldivers 2, wich has been accumulating impressive numbers since its release. And apparently, the title is not going to cool down anytime soon, as on the weekend of the last day of the 24th, the game reached over 800 thousand simultaneous players.

This weekend (on the 24th), Johan Pilestedet, creative director of Helldivers 2, celebrated on his social media that the game managed to sustain more than 700 thousand simultaneous players on the servers, a record number that, shortly thereafter, would be surprassed again, with 800 thousand connected players.

It’s worth noting that this server number for the game refers to all players, meaning both PlayStation 5 and PC, as on Steam, we see that the peak during the weekend was close to 460 thousand on Saturday and Sunday, indicating a well-divided player base between computers and consoles.

Additionally, it’s worth remembering that the game servers are still undergoing improvements, and apparently, there are issues with queues and slot distribution for gameplay, making the achievement even more impressive.
