Insomniac Games has made an official statement on the recent hacks

In a message posted on social media, Insomniac Games adressed the impact of the cyberattack suffered by the studio

For a long time, Insomniac remained silent after experiencing one of the biggest leaks in the history of gaming. Not anymore. This friday (22), Sony’s studio went public not only to acknowledge the attack but also to thank the players for their support and assure the audience that Wolverine will only improve until its debut.

The message was posted today, on the company’s official Twitter profile, and confirms what many had already suspected: the episode was devastating for the team members, and everyone needed time to recover, assess the damage caused by cybercriminals, and align the next steps to be taken.

As can be noticed, the statement issued by Insomniac focuses solely on the Wolverine leaks, overlooking the ton of internal projects and data from PlayStation and partner studios and also leaked in the same attack.

It is most likely that the offensive regarding the other stolen materials shared on the internet is being handled by Sony, who, in fact, has just started issuing DMCA alets to those who downloaded the PC build of Wolverine.
