Marvel's Blade will not be released before 2027, says insider

According to information from the well-known insider Jeff Grub, the new advn«enture of Marvel's anti-hero is not expected to be released anytime soon

Marvel’s Blade has certainly made it onto the list of pleasant surprises revealed during The Game Awards 2023. The brief teaser released by Arkane Lyon gave fans a glimpse of what they can expect from the new game.

However, what players really want to know is: when will Marvel’s Blade be released? According to the well-known journalist and insider Jeff Grub, Blade is still a long way from being released, with an internal projection for a debut in 2027.

“At the moment, internally, they expect the physical and digital version to be sold in 2027. That’s the year they aim for this game,” said Grub in an interview with the XboxEra podcast.

It’s worth noting that the game is in a very early stage of development, so it is expected to take a considerable amount of time to reach the expected levels of quality.

Despite the studio’s track record with first-person games like Dishonored and Deathloop, the new adventure from Arkane will follow different patterns, as confirmed by the project director, Dinga Bakaba. The Marvel anti-hero title will be in third person. Set in Paris during a vampire invasion, the expectation is that Marvel’s Blade will be an open-world game.
