PlayStation 5 update increases DualSense volume

Sony has announced a new firmware update for the PlayStation 5, bringing an interesting addition to its controller. The DualSense will have its volume increased, but that’s not the only noteworthy improvement.

While the higher volume will allow for better in-game audio and even clearer conversations with friends, the DualSense microphone has also received attention with the update. For those who feel uncomfortable with the new volumes and settings, the PlayStation 5 firmware will allow customization of the sensivity levels for these aspects. Initially, this feature is only available to those who are part of the Beta firmware program, meaning it will take a few more months for all players to test them.

The PlayStation 5 firmware itself has also received new features. Now, when a player shares the screen, viewers can point out important elements, for example, to help them navigate through a challenging part of the game. Additionally, emojis are present to create a more lighthearted and relaxed atmosphere.

Last but not least, the new firmware also introduces brightness control for the lights on the gaming console. This allows Sony’s console to attract less attention when powered on.
