Sony is expected to establish new studio with former developers from Deviation Games

Former employees of Deviation Games have leaked spoilers about the project they are working on with Sony

Despite leaving its fans without updates in recent times, it seems that Sony is working at full steam. According to rumours, the manufacturer may be setting up a new studio led by Jason Blundell (a Call of Duty veteran) and former developers from Deviation Games - who are already working on an ‘unannounced project’.

Speculations began after a user on Twitter, @Zuby_Tech, noticed some updates in the job positions of former Deviation employees on LinkedIn. Even tough the descriptions do not explicitly mention the name of the studio they are working for, they leave losse ends by mentioning Sony Interactive Entertainment.

Even though there are no details about the mysterious project, Fred Thompson appears to be the design lead. It’s worth noting that the game designer ‘JCBackfire’ revealed that he would be working with Jason Blundell.

The Call of Duty veteran, Jason Blundell, was the co-founder of Deviation and is known for his work on the Zombies mode and the single-player campaign of Call of Duty. However, he has not been part of the studio’s collaborators for months since announcing his departure in September 2022.

It is clear that all of this is just speculation, as Sony has not officially commented on the information.
